Weekend rewind...
The weekends just always go too fast. I don't know why, but it seems like Monday is here before we know it! Friday night was spent with Alison playing with her friends. We are blessed to have some wonderful neighbors and the girls, for the most part, get along very well. Not to say that occasionally there isn't a need for correction, but they love each other and have a lot of fun. Playing princess was the name of the game Friday night...
This picture cracked me up. Even the dolls need potty training.
I just love how sweet Buster Brown is with the baby kitten. So very sweet!! Now if we could just get Miss Mew to take as kindly to her. But for now, she was safe up there with her big brother. It was nice to have her there instead of "helping" me fold laundry, which is actually just knocking all of the folded clothes over.

The pets...
Or as I like to refer to them as...the fur babies!!! Beastie is our 10 year old girl. Black lab/English Mastiff. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and 18 pounds. She now weighs 147!!!
This is Bailey! This was Alex's dog when we got married. He is 9 and was electrocuted as a puppy so he isn't the smartest thing but is as sweet as dogs can get.
Buster and Miss Mew. Buster is 7, Miss Mew is 4.
Our new addition Morrison!
Yes, we have a thing for black cats! They bring good luck. ;)

Alison
This is our only baby. After a high risk and very scary pregnancy...this little lady was born at 5:34 on the morning of April 8th, 2010 by c-section. I made it to term but just barely, 37 weeks and 4 days to be exact. She is the love our of lives.
I would have liked to have 10 babies but since my body doesn't like being pregnant, she is our onliest one but we are contemplating adoption or foster care. We will follow our hearts. Alison Jean is a happy, healthy, smart and exasperating four year old. I ask her all the time if I can keep her forever and she says I can. I love her to the moon and back.
Me...
So this is me...
I was born and raised in Washington State...in fact, my folks still live in the same house I grew up in! I am the baby of five children. Three much older brothers, my sister and me. I will talk more about my siblings in other rambling posts!! After high school I went to college and got my business degree. I was doing the whole career woman thing. I was living in my own apartment, I had a dog and lots of friends, worked long hours...and then Alex moved in next door and my whole world changed. I knew when I met him that my goal in life was to be a wife and mother! Who would have thought?! My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, gardening, running, camping. Autumn is my most favorite season ever and I love to decorate with all the fall colors!

Who we are....
I figured that I would do a blog post about each of us. Give you an idea of who we are and what makes us tick. So let's start with the man of the house shall we?
Alex was born in Oregon to two wonderful parents (who I will talk about a lot), and has a younger sister. He grew up a country boy but moved to the city (eh, suburbs really) when he was in high school. After graduating, Alex served our country in the US Marines. He spent 3 1/2 years serving our country, including one tour to Afganistan before being injured and receiving an honorable discharge. After coming back to the states he moved to Texas where he attended bible college. He completed his schooling and moved back to Washington State where he met me!! We were married in 2007 and had our beautiful daughter in 2010!! He works for a property management company as a carpenter. His hobbies are playing the guitar, wood-working, visiting with family and friends and flying in his dad's plane.

Our new kitten...
May I introduce Miss Morrison to our family. This sweet, little 12 week old kitten has had a rough start to her little life to say the least. She was rescued off the Morrison Bridge during rush hour traffic after someone threw her from a moving car. Poor thing had a broken tip of her tail and a broken leg. She spent 7 weeks of her life recovering with her foster mama and is now home with us! Alison has claimed her as "her kitten" and Morrison has pretty much claimed Alison as her own as well! We are all quite smitten!!
Alison's selfie...
Look at that cute face! I was finally able to get the picture to post. Miss Alison has figured out how to take pictures with Mama's phone and is very proud of herself and I must say, I love opening my photos and see my baby's cute face!!!
Cannot upload pictures...
For some reason...Blogger just won't let me upload any pictuers and it is making me very unhappy. I want to be able to show our happenings instead of just talking about them.

New family blog....
It has been a very long time since I have blogged. Decided to start a new one. The old one was being a pill and wouldn't let me update any pictures. So here we are. Life and stuff...the new blog!
Who am I? I am Kristi. Wife to Alex and mama to Nugget. She is my only baby and was quite the miracle at that! She is happy and busy and fun!!
What else am I? I am a lover of life. I am passionate about running and being outdoors. I love animals and even think slugs and snails are cute! I love my family and my friends and go through life with the motto of treating others the way I would want to be treated no matter who they are or what their story is.
I will try to post often and more interesting information including pictures!! But so far...here is the start of our story. This will mostly be my place where I can just get down all those random thoughts that jump into my head. I am sure that it will make for interesting reading!!
Welcome!!!
