Random Facts Wednesday...

My blog is boring! So I am going to start something new!! Random Facts Wednesday will be where I will post five random facts about myself or my family! I will pick a different person each week! Up first...me!!

 Five Random Facts about me:

 1. I never use a stranger's pen, such as at a restaurant or the bank. I always use my own.

 2. I am addicted to Chapstick. I have random tubes placed throughout the house for easy access.

 3. I drink at least a gallon of water a day.

 4. I am afraid of the dark.

 5. My feet grew from a size 7 to a size 8 after I had Alison.

My new kitchen...

I am soooo loving my new kitchen! I have never had a kitchen so nice. 1st...it has granite counter tops. That are just amazing! 2nd, there is a window! I love having a kitchen window. Something about being able to see out and see the squirrels and the birds while washing dishes is just fabulous. And 3, a double sick! I love that I can have meat thawing for supper in one sink while washing dishes in the other!! My dear friend Rebecca came over on Saturday to see the new place and brought me flowers! There is just something about fresh flowers that freshen up a room! Love it!!

My view...

I was laying on the couch last night...it was so nice to relax after all the craziness of moving. Alex had a fire started in the fireplace and just being able to turn and see the fire in the fireplace is wonderful! Now we just need to find a good price for a cord of wood!

Moving...

No pictures of the new house yet...but we are slowly getting settled. I will make an attempt to remember to take pictures to share this weekend. There was only a couple of disasters that happened during the course of the move. First, the new washer somehow (while it was on) had a pipe come undone...flooded the new kitchen floor. Although, the floor is now clean enough to eat off of! And second, I managed to cut myself with a plastic coat hanger of all things. A pretty good gash with lots of blood but I am now no worse for the wear! Alison absolutely loves her new room and her Nana was very sweet and bought her all new bedding! The animals have all adjusted to the move very well! Even the cat I was most concerned would freak out did incredibly well! I guess everyone is glad we moved!!

UGH...

Pink eye has made it's way from Alison to me. UGH! Thankfully, I am pretty sure I am on the mend but it was sure pathetic looking for a couple of days there.

Beastie...

The big Beastie dog turned 11 on Thursday! I love this big dog!

Silly girl...

Nugget insisted after her bath last night that she was "freezing". So here she is all snuggled on the couch! She looked so very cozy that I ended up making popcorn (instead of packing) and we snuggled on the couch together, had popcorn and watched her new princess movie. I love snuggling with my girl!!! I should have been packing more boxes but I just couldn't resist spending time with my baby.

Coloring...

We do a lot of coloring at our house! I find it quite relaxing actually! We have the biggest bin of crayons, pencils and markers and I have some silly obsession with always buying more. Anytime I am at the checkout at the grocery store I always buy another box a crayons. Maybe it is a sickness? HAHA!

Moving!!!

We are moving!! I must say that although moving is very stressful, I am very excited! We are blessed to finally be able to move into a bigger space! Right now we have been in a small (very small), about 800 square feet apartment...and we are moving in to a 1200 square foot duplex! We had been on a waiting list for the duplex for almost a year and finally, finally it became available. We move in 3 weeks! ACK! One totally great thing about the move however is the ability to get the internet again. We cancelled our service back when we moved into the smaller place since we had not where to put a computer. Now however, we will have our computer desk all set up again. No more trying to post from my phone! :) so hopefully the posts will happen more often! I just had to post this picture of Morrison "helping" with a box!

Ballet...

The weekend before Christmas, Alison started ballet classes! I must admit that the first class was not a huge success. She actually started crying about half way through and I had to spend the last half of class sitting on the floor. She does say that she wants to go back next week so we will give it another try. Even if she ends up not continuing, she sure does look cute in her tutu!!

Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas! I didn't take many pictures with my phone, I do have more on my camera but unfortunately I cannot get the pictures to download. So here are a few from my phone! We spent Christmas Eve at home with my family and then Christmas Day traditions takes us to the in-laws!
